Advancing to the State Championship

Once the final conference open has been completed and the final conference standings have been calculated and verified, teams will be awarded entry to the State Championship.

Each year the number of teams that gain an automatic big to advance from each conference will vary depending on number of conferences, State Championship format, wildcard opportunities, and other factors associated with growth of Minnesota Junior B.A.S.S. Nation. The number of allocations and format of the State Championship will be decided  by the Youth Director of Minnesota B.A.S.S. Nation with consultation from the competition committee.

For 2019, the number of allocations will be the top 10 teams from each conference. (Due to a change in number of conferences)

To receive the invitation, the anglers must be in good standing with B.A.S.S. and be eligible to advance to the National Championship the following year. This typically means teams with graduated seniors cannot advance.

Invitations will be awarded to the top 10 teams that are eligible to advance to the National Championship by the Conference Commissioner. Teams will have a short window of time to accept the invitation. When invitations are declined, the Conference Commissioner has the option to move down the standings list to invite additional teams to fill the vacancies.

Conference Commissioner will then submit the roster for the spots to the Youth Director of Minnesota B.A.S.S. Nation.
